StarMark will make a kitchen that not only looks good, but one you can function in too. Because it’s not just how your kitchen looks that matters, it’s how it cooks!
StarMark builds dovetailed drawers that extend fully, glide smoothly, and close softly. They use solid wood for the raised panel doors, drawer fronts and face frames for supreme durability. The insides are constructed with three-quarter and half-inch solid core plywood, where others simply use particleboard. And they apply the furniture finish by hand using a multi step process for a deep, luscious beautiful look. StarMark does not use lacquer to finish your cabinets. The finish is an oven-cured catalyzed conversion varnish topcoat. You don’t have to know what that means, other than that it means the finish is the most durable available and your cabinets will look gorgeous forever.
StarMark is ESP certified, but what does that mean? In 2006, the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (www.kcma.org) began certifying cabinet manufacturers who prove they are using sustainable practices and products. Certification must be earned yearly.
StarMark Cabinetry was one of the first companies to earn ESP certification, and we have earned the certification each year. ESP certification is awarded to manufacturers who use materials with low formaldehyde emissions, use recycled materials, and use hardwoods certified through a recognized sustainable forestry program.
ESP requires manufacturers to have a written environmental policy and to work with their suppliers to protect the environment.
