Minnehaha County Residents Can Find Out ‘Who’s Behind Bars’ with New Website

A new development will allow the public to find out who is locked up in Minnehaha County.

Sheriff Mike Milstead says one of the questions his office is asked most frequently is who is being held in the county jail.

Milstead says the information is now available on the Sheriff’s Office website with a link titled “Who’s Behind Bars?”:

Milstead points out that booking a person into jail does not mean that person is guilty or has been convicted of a crime He says most of the people being held in the jail have not yet had their day in court.
