Isaiah J. Barse of Aberdeen Doesn’t Enter Plea on Arson Charges
ABERDEEN - An Aberdeen man accused of setting fire to a three-story house that had five people inside has not entered pleas.
The American News reports that 22-year-old Isaiah J. Barse did not enter pleas to charges of arson, burglary and reckless burning during a court appearance Wednesday.
Authorities allege Barse started a bag of garbage on fire in the home's entryway on April 6 following a fight involving his roommate. The five people inside were able to get out alive.
Barse could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted. He remains in the Brown County Jail, but has been granted work release.
