How Can You Be On a Reality Show?

Facebook

So, you’re sitting at home channel surfing and stumble across a T.V. show with a bunch of unshaven men with untamed locks standing in front of a mansion.  A little further down the dial are Amish kids running through the big city.  You decide to watch some music videos and instead you see something called “Snooki.”

Nearly every channel is home to a reality show.  Whether it be a makeover show, dating show, a show about people who have become celebrities for no reason, or a singing competition show, you can find it on your T.V.

Have you ever wanted to be on a reality show, or any T.V. show for that matter?  From “Amazing Race” to “The Bachelorette,” “American Idol” to “X Factor,” they all need contestants.

Check out these websites for casting calls for your favorite reality show and brand new shows that haven’t even aired yet.

Reality Wanted has hundreds of casting calls looking for everything from overweight teens to people who need help with their problems for a new national TV show called “The Test” produced by Dr. Phil’s son, Jay McGraw.

MTV has plenty of room for reality shows since they rarely play videos anymore.  They’re currently looking for wannabe rock stars, stand-up comics, beauty queens and everyone in between.

ABC is looking for contestants for “Wipeout,” “Wife Swap,” “The Bachelor” and others.

Bravo is seeking couples in the process of divorce, homes that are to-die-for and contestants for the next season of “Top Chef.”

TLC is giving you a chance to pitch your own T.V. show.  Tell them why you, your friends or family should have your own show.

NBC is currently casting families for the new pop-culture trivia show “Wall of Fame.”  You can also get info on casting for “America’s Cutest Kids” and “The Million Second Quiz.”

VH1 currently doesn’t have any open casting, but keep this link for the future.
