Elevator Explosion in Garretson
The Garretson South Dakota Eastern Farmers Co-op in suffered an explosion yesterday afternoon around 4:30.
An employee was welding a fertilizer tank when an explosion occurred that blew the lid off the tank.
The tank lid flew about the distance of a football field. Fire departments from Garretson, Brandon, and Valley Springs responded to put the fire out. No one was injured.
