DUI Arrests, Citations Written During Sioux Falls Saturation Patrol

Sioux Falls Police Lt. Loren McManus says a city wide saturation patrol produced results.

“We had 4 DUI’s during the  Saturation Patrol and a total of 154 citations.  The officers covered about 26 different complaint zones.  That occurred the 9th of August and through 3 a.m.the next morning.”

McManus says the results were pretty much expected for a Saturation effort.

“I talked to Sergeant Brink, the supervisor in our traffic services division , to find out if there was anything outstanding about the saturation.  He told me the results were about the same compared with previous saturation patrol.”

More than a dozen extra police officers were on duty during the Saturation Patrol.
