Chad McKenzie
Chad McKenzie, host of “The Mainstreet Café” weekday mornings on 1140 KSOO, has been waking people up in the tri-state area since 1984.
It all started on a small farm just outside of Chester, South Dakota, where he spent his formative years…cleaning pigpens and talking to himself. After deciding “doing chores” wasn’t his cup of tea and realizing he had the gift of gab, he enrolled at South Dakota State University, where he went on to graduate and land a radio job in Sioux Falls. Chad also did weather for a time on KELOLAND Television. It was then he realized radio was his true love. Besides having fun on the radio, Chad also plays the accordion (or attempts to, according to his friends) Chad is married and has two kids. Whenever he has any free time, you’ll find him either on the golf course or riding motorcycle.
