New President for Dakota State University
The interim president at Dakota State University since February has been chosen by the Board of Regents to become the school's 22nd president.
David Borofsky succeeds Douglas Knowlton, who left the South Dakota public university system earlier this year for a higher education position in Minnesota.
The Regents took action on the permanent appointment at a special meeting Monday on the Madison campus.
Borofsky previously served as provost and chief academic officer of Westwood College, a for-profit college with 18 physical locations in six states.
He also spent time as president of Bates Technical College (Wash.) and as a vice president and dean at Colorado Mountain College.
