Western Avenue

In a couple weeks the construction season should conclude except for emergency situations. It’s been a long journey for 69th Street, but the end is in sight.

The anticipated three week closure of Western Avenue at 69th was correct. The busy intersection is open in all four directions.

This isn't a closure that will be a headache for most people in Sioux Falls, but for south-siders it will be.

It's been hard to not notice the speed traps lately on the "Racetrack."

Madison Street is getting a lot of attention as Sioux Falls works on an upgrade near Sioux Falls Stadium.

The final stages of the 57th and Western construction project are here. Very soon the junction will be fully operational.

Beginning on Thursday, August 1, 2013, traffic on Western Avenue south of Crossing Place will be shifted from the northbound lanes to the southbound lanes.

Beginning on Monday, July 1, 2013, traffic on Western Avenue, south of Crossing Place, will be shifted from the northbound lanes to the new pavement on the southbound lanes.

After nearly 3 weeks, Western Avenue south of I-229 is set to open.
