Lawmakers in Missouri are considering an interesting solution to an apparent problem some of them are having. A bill working its way through the general assembly would define sex - with a lobbyist - as a gift.

The reason for the bill is just last year two separate sex scandals surfaced during the legislative session, forcing lawmakers involved to resign. Not to mention the embarrassment it brought to the state assembly.

So, this year a GOP state representative has introduced a bill to define sex between lawmakers and lobbyists - as a gift. Something that would have to be claimed on a monthly disclosure form.

One exception allowed under the bill, however, is if a lawmaker is already in a relationship with the lobbyist. Then disclosing the cash value of this 'gift' wouldn't be required.
