A major news conference was held in Sioux Falls Thursday morning regarding national recognition for Sioux Falls!

Evan Nolte, President/CEO of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, says a national report being released on Thursday focuses on job growth and economic enterprise in Sioux Falls.  In fact, the U. S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation released the "Enterprising Cities:  A Force for American Prosperity."  Sioux Falls is the smallest of seven cities recognized.  Among the other cities recognized:  Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Minneapolis and Memphis.

In Notle's words:  "Sioux Falls has had some very good recognition and this adds to it.  The report is going up on the U. S. Chamber Foundation web site today.  This honor is another verification of the dynamic economic growth and the quality in our community.

Aside from Nolte, Mayor Mike Huether, Tom Simmons, Midcontinent Communicatons (Forward Sioux Falls Joint  Venture Management Committe and National Marketing Task Force),  Sioux Falls Development Foundation President Slater Barr and Mark Schill, Vice President for Research at Praxis Strategy Group participated in the news conference.
