Police say they do not suspect foul play in connection to the body found in the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls earlier this month.

A passerby spotted the body just north of 6th Street on April 5 and notified police.

Police spokesperson Sam Clemens said Tuesday investigators have classified the death as drowning and ruled it an unattended death.

Clemens identified the victim as a 51-year-old man, but would not release his name. He said the victim's family has been notified.
