According to Argus 911, a warrant service call in the 600 block of South Marion has turned into a standoff situation. A mobile command unit, as well as a SWAT team are on the scene.

Tea Storm Chasers has reported that the barricaded suspect does have a warrant for his arrest, but it is unclear what the warrant was for. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens spoke with KSOO's Jerry Dahmen about the situation:

When police arrived, there were five people in the home. Three came out willingly, but a fourth was pepper sprayed.

The people who came out of the house told Sioux Falls Police that the suspect has multiple weapons inside the home. The types of weapons are not known at this time.

No other arrests have been made at this time.

Several homes in the area have been evacuated.

Marion Road is closed from 12th Street to 16th Street. Residents and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
