You know how you call a tissue a "Kleenex" even though Kleenex is a trademarked brand name? Well, the Velcro company says it has the same problem.

And it just released a music video on the internet urging people not to call competing products by the Velcro brand name.

The video features singing lawyers with one request - don't call it Velcro when it's not Velcro.

Velcro's patent lapsed 40 years ago and since then other companies have gotten into the "hook and loop fastener" business.

In the video there's a line that says, "We're asking you not to say a name we took 60 plus years to build. Like bandages, they're not all Band Aids."
