Train Derailment Reported in Spink County
UPDATE 11:45AM: The Aberdeen American News reported that ice on or near the tracks caused two axles to go off track. It was classified as a partial derailment. The train was back in service by mid-morning on Monday.
The Spink County Sheriff via Nixle released the following about 6:45 AM Monday.
There is a train derailment at Mellette blocking Highway 20. It will be blocked for about 5 hours. You will need to detour around this area.
