In case you haven't heard, this past weekend three professional storm chasers were killed in Oklahoma while chasing a tornado.

Todd Heitkamp of the Sioux Falls National Weather Service Office just happened to know those involved.  He worked with them over the years.

He stopped by the Main Street Cafe Monday morning to visit with Chad about the tragedy, and to talk about the alarming number of amateurs who are now following after storms.

People don't realize how dangerous it is to chase a tornado.  Those men killed in Oklahoma were trained professionals.  We have way too many amateurs out there trying to cash in.
