There Really Is An App For Everything

First things first – the photo made me laugh, that’s why I chose to use it.
How would you like to never have to flush your own toilet ever again?
It’s either the epitome of laziness, or a God send for germ-a-phoebes.
A Japanese company has developed a new smart phone app that runs your toilet – well, actually you have to buy their special toilet – but after that, it’ll take care of everything.
By the simple swipe of a finger you can lift the lid, close it and even flush.
You can even turn on music, track water consumption – and even keep track your health by using the electronic toilet diary (that just bumped the “ick” factor up a notch).
The app itself is fairly cheap, but the toilet will set you back about $4,600.
Ladies and gentlemen – have we, as a society, become so lazy that we can’t even flush our own toilet?
I hate germs just like the next guy, but that’s why we have soap and water.
I can’t even image what “conveniences” are being worked on behind closed doors that we haven’t caught wind of yet (yes, pun intended).
Well, actually, I can think of a few things, but I’d rather not go there.
So when they say, “There’s probably an app for that,” – there really is an app for that.
