The Science of Wrinkly Fingers

Have you ever wondered why your fingers and toes get wrinkly when you sit in a hot bath too long?

Researchers at Newcastle University think the answer is probably evolutionary.

Pointing out it’s just a theory – researchers speculate the wrinkly skin probably helped those who lived millions of years ago so they wouldn’t slip when moving over wet surfaces.

So why am I posting this blog?

Just to prove, once again, there really is no such thing as a dumb idea when it comes to research.

So how much “grant money” do you suppose was spent on this project?

Sure do wish somebody would tell me where that grant money tree is located and how to get there.

Wrinkly skin – really!?!
