GOP Activist Must Pay $500 Over Subpoenas
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota Republican activist convicted of breaking state election law has been ordered to pay $500 to two people by a judge who ruled Daniel Willard was being vindictive when he tried to force them to testify.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Supreme Court says the man who won the state's attorney's race in Jerauld County last November is the rightful holder of the office, even though he simultaneously ran for the position in a neighboring county.
Deadline Nears for School Election
The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming Sioux Falls School District election is Monday, May 6th.
District officials say anyone wishing to vote in the election set for May 21st must be registered by 5pm that day.
