Augustana 5th After First Round Of Central Region Championships

Augustana shot a 20-over-par 308 and is in fifth place after the first round of play at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn.

Maggie Leland and Allie Ostrander are tied for fifth in the individual standings with Tavia Rutherford of the University of Sioux Falls 19th after the first round.

The record setting 2014 season for the University of Sioux Falls softball team came to a disappointing end on Thursday. The Cougars were eliminated from the NSIC softball tournament when they dropped their second game of the day to Concordia-St. Paul by a final score of 7-5.

USF fell to Wayne State 10-8 in the opening game of the tournament.
