Swim Passes Available For Sioux Falls City Pools
The city of Sioux Falls has made it easier to have family fun. Pools are slated to open on Friday, May 24, Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation has a new season swim pass program using electronic key fobs that allow swimmers quick access to the City’s aquatics facilities.
For people who have purchased season passes in the past, electronic key fobs are a dramatic upgrade. Previously young swimmers would gain admittance to city pools with a patch sewn onto the suit. Adults would receive a wrist band for their pass into the facility. The Parks and Recreation Department has modernized the process to have all that information on the key fob that is scanned upon admittance. The bar code on the card will identify all members of the family on the pass via photo identification.
To purchase a new season swim pass, all family members on the pass must have their photos taken at a community center or at the Park Office. Key fobs will be issued upon registration, but photos must be taken before the fob is activated and admission into the pools is allowed.
With the new program, season swim passes will not be available for purchase at any aquatics facilities. Now through July 26, season swim passes will be available for purchase from 12 noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Kenny Anderson, MariCar, and Morningside Community Centers.
