State Government Starts Central Rules Website
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota’s state government is starting a website that will enable people to learn and comment about all rules proposed by state agencies.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard Chief of Staff Dusty Johnson says people now have trouble finding out about proposed rules because they have to go to websites run by individual state agencies. He told state lawmakers that people now can go to one website to get notice about all rules proposed by all state agencies and then comment about those rules.
Johnson says the South Dakota Legislature has a website that lets people follow proposed legislation from the time it’s introduced to the time it’s passed or defeated. He says the new website will do the same thing for rules.
The new website is at https://rules.sd.gov .
