Some South Dakota Areas Struggle to Keep Ambulance Services
In small town South Dakota, often times its neighbor helping neighbor. Its what make the particularly rural areas so special.
But when it comes to medical attention, it not only takes time, it take's certified EMT's. And while the state has relaxed some requirements, it's becoming difficult to maintain ambulance services in some rural South Dakota areas.
According to the Mitchell Daily Republic, services in the Gregory, Burke and Bonesteel/Fairfax areas are struggling to recruit new EMT's, and they may cause problems in the future.
