Sioux Falls Police Ask Public for Help In Finding Suspicious Man Who Confronted Girl
The Sioux Falls Police Department is getting some tips about the suspicious man who approached an 11-year-old girl in his vehicle and asked her to help him find his pet Gerbil.
"We released an image of what we believe is the vehicle the guy was driving." according to Police Department Public Information Officer Sam Clemens.
"We did get a couple of tips this week that came in. At least this is information detectives can follow up on. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of information. We are still hoping that somebody will be able to identify him and report it to police."
Clemens has this description of the man and his vehicle.
"The vehicle is a silver Ford Bronco Two. The driver is a white man, 60 to 70 years of age with a white and grey beard."
Clemens says it's a good time to talk to your kids about stranger danger.
"Yes it is! It's a good cautionary tale for parents to let their kids know if there's anything out of the ordinary and to find a trusted adult to let them know what happened."
The incident with the girl took place on Sunday in the northeast part of Sioux Falls.
