Sioux Falls Man Pleads Guilty to Sex Trafficking Charge
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and is expected to spend more than 30 years behind bars.
Thirty-five-year-old Tajahn Clinton of Sioux Falls was arrested a year ago and initially charged with one count of sex trafficking a child. Since then, the list of charges against Clinton has grown, as had the number of alleged victims. Officials say he victimized nine people, three of them minors. He pleaded guilty Wednesday to sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.
KSFY-TV reports that in the plea deal, the parties agreed to a sentence of 402 months in prison.
The Argus Leader newspaper reports that Clinton’s plea follows two guilty verdicts in recent months from other men in sex-trafficking cases that included some of the same victims.
