YANKTON, S.D. (AP) — The Yankton County sheriff says lab tests have tied a vehicle to a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in May.

Sheriff Jim Vlahakis tells the Yankton Press & Dakotan (http://bit.ly/139NzQp ) that results of the tests have been turned over to prosecutors.

Authorities say 23-year-old Joseph Bret Jackson of Yankton was killed on May 3. His body was found on a highway east of the city of Yankton.

Vlahakis says the vehicle was seized by the sheriff s office on May 13 in Mission Hill.

The name of the suspected driver of the vehicle has not been released.
