SD Grants Available for Rural Youth Groups
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – The South Dakota Department of Agriculture has money available for grants to help rural youth organizations with projects aimed at improving communities or enhancing public safety.
Grants are open to 4-H clubs, FFA chapters and Family Career and Community Leaders of America chapters.
Basic grants are limited to $750 and can be used for community improvement projects. Safety grants are limited to $200 and can be used for projects that enhance public safety.
Department officials say the grants were developed to demonstrate the importance of rural communities and the value of organizations that work to improve rural life.
