One Pound Baby Born in Rapid City Hospital [UPDATE]
A 1-pound, 9 ounce baby girl was born at Rapid City Regional Hospital September 1st. The mother, Nirelle Taylor, said her baby was due to be born on December 18th but instead born 3 1/2 months premature.
The baby, Brielle Alexander Taylor, is one of the smallest babies ever born at the hospital.
According to KOTA-TV, Brielle’s hands and feet are no bigger than a penny.
Taylor says she’s making sure that Brielle’s oxygen levels remain level. Mom can also reach into the incubator and hold her baby’s hand but Brielle’s skin is too thin to touch elsewhere.
We are praying and pulling for you, baby Brielle.

Dont know if you are able to give a , message to the parents of the baby but to give them hope, you can give them my story. My daughter was born at 25 weeks. 1 pound 6 ounces in 2002. She is 11 now and perfectly healthy strong and very smart. I had her at McKennen hospital in Sioux Falls. Great nicu unit. Had her April 8 and due in July. She was the size of a newborn kitten. They told me she maybe 3 days to live. They were wrong, she got stronger every day.
