October is Bullying Prevention Month
The first day of October is the start of Bullying Prevention Month.
It's estimated that one in three kids is picked on at school.
Very often, says child psychologist Alan Kazdin, parents are totally unaware.
Signs to look for?
"Is the child anxious about going to school? Does the child have any marks or bruises?"
The website stopbullying-dot-gov is launching youth engagement events all this month to encourage conversation about bullying and about ways to stop it.
