Medicaid Task Force Meeting Wednesday
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – A state task force studying the possibility of expanding Medicaid to cover an additional 48,000 low-income South Dakotans meets Wednesday as it nears the end of its study.
The panel, appointed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard, will not recommend whether the program should be expanded, but instead will identify the advantages and disadvantages of doing so. The task force will begin outlining its report Wednesday, but will not approve a final report until August.
The task force is meeting at the Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
