The nationwide day of service is coming on Saturday. Millions of people throughout the U.S. will band together and perform scheduled acts of kindness as part of Make A Difference Day 2013.

Sara Snuggerud from Heirloom Creations in Sioux Falls has been celebrating the occasion for the last dozen years. She stopped by the Main Street Café to invite folks to take part.

They make and donate zippered fabric bags throughout the year and fill them with travel-size soaps, shampoos, conditioners, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other basic toiletry items. Donations are welcome and volunteers will take the time on Saturday to fill the bags. These Charity Gift Bags mostly go to Children’s Inn and The Banquet.

Take a couple of hours on Saturday and head to Heirloom Creations to stuff some bags, make a donation or make a difference in your own way on Make A Difference Day.
