Ladies Can Sample a Wide Variety of Outdoor Activities at ‘Women’s Try It Day’
Have you ever wanted to try archery, kayaking or even fly fishing? Ladies, this Saturday is all about you at the Outdoor Campus. Bring your girlfriends, your sisters, your mom and even your daughters to this super fun event called “Women’s Try It Day.”
The Outdoor Campus at Sertoma Park has a relaxing Saturday morning planned for you. From 9 a.m. to Noon, you can sample a wide variety of outdoor activities you’ve always wanted to try but never had the chance.
According to Thea Ryan at the Outdoor Campus
We’ll be doing archery. Find your inner Katniss and shoot at some deer and bear targets! Instructors will be on-hand to assist first timers and everyone will walk away with that awesome feeling of accomplishment!
Canoeing and Kayaking – thinking of taking a canoe trip or buying a kayak? This is the perfect place to try both and see what you enjoy more.
Outdoor Cooking – sample some outdoor cooking recipes and learn some ideas to make your next camping trip tastier! We’ll show you have to make smacos.
Fishing – Cast a line. When you catch a fish we’ll have people there to help you take it off the hook, too. There’s no feeling like that tap on your fishing line!
Survival bracelets – they’re cute and they’re trendy, but they’re also useful. Make a bracelet with paracord and it might help you if you’re ever in an emergency situation.
The event is free and no pre-registration is required to attend. Check out their Facebook page more info.
