Huron Attempted Murder Suspect Reaches Plea Agreement
HURON – A Huron man accused of trying to kill his pregnant wife has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Beadle County State’s Attorney Mike Moore tells KOKK radio that 25-year-old Thoung Sing has pleaded guilty but mentally ill to an aggravated assault charge.
Sing was indicted on attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault charges after a December 2011 incident in which authorities say Sing choked his wife and prevented her from leaving their apartment.
A sentencing date was not immediately scheduled.
