Free Stuff for Veterans on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, 2015. To celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans, several retailers and restaurants are offering discounts on Veterans Day.  Some of the offers are even good all week.

Here’s a list of the offers.  If you know a veteran, make sure you share this list on Facebook so they can take advantage of the deals.

Most businesses require proof of military service and not all franchise locations participate in their national chain’s Veterans Day programs, so be sure to contact the business before you go.

Restaurant offers:

Applebee’s – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – A free meal to military veterans and active-duty service members. There will be 7 entrées to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included. Military ID or proof of service required.

Chili’s – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – A choice of any lunch combo, or your choice of a dinner meal from a select menu, including any full-size flatbread.  Dine-in from limited menu only.  Beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service.

Denny’s – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – A free Build Your Own Grand Slam® on Nov. 11, from 5 a.m. to noon for all active, inactive, and retired military personnel.

Hy-Vee – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Free Veterans Day breakfast from 7am – 11am at all participating Hy-Vee supermarkets with in-store dining.

IHOP – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Free Red, White and Blue pancakes, or Red, White and Blue pancakes combo plate including eggs, bacon and hashed browns from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Participating locations only. Please call ahead to verify participation.

Little Caesars Pizza – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 –  Free pizza or $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo to all US Armed Forces veterans and active military members between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. With proof of military service, at participating stores nationwide. Call ahead to verify participation.

Olive Garden – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Free entree. Offer good for veterans and active duty military; proof of service required. Guests that dine with a Veteran also receive 10% off of their bill as well!

Outback Steakhouse – November 12 – December 31, 2015 – All active duty military and veterans receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and a non-alcoholic beverage. This offer is available to Military Personnel and veterans with ID. Also receive 15% off your purchase from Nov. 12-Dec 31, 2015.

Red Lobster – November 9 – November 12, 2015 – Free Appetizer or Dessert during the week of Veterans Day with military ID or proof of service. Vets may choose from a select list of appetizers and desserts.

Starbucks – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Free tall brewed coffee for active duty, veterans, and their spouses. Participating stores only. Please call ahead.

Texas Roadhouse – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Free lunch event to honor the men and women of our armed forces. Choose from one of 10 free meals, plus sides and a soft drink, coffee, or tea. Offer good for All veterans – including all active, retired or former U.S. military. ID Required. Dine-in only.

Famous Dave’s BBQ – Wednesday, November 11, 2015 –  Free meal (one meat, a side and a corn muffin). Participating locations only.

 

These restaurants offered Veterans Day discounts in 2014, but have not confirmed participation in 2015.  Call ahead. 

Lone Star Steakhouse – All veterans and active duty military will be eligible for a free Starter. ID or proof of service required. Please call ahead for verification.

Perkin’s Restaurant & Bakery – A free Magnificent Seven meal which includes two eggs, three buttermilk pancakes, and a choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links. Beverage not included. Call ahead to verify participation.

Ruby Tuesday  – Free appetizer at participating locations, proof of service required.

 

Here’s a list of retailers offering discounts to veterans.

Dell – Former and current members of the military save an additional 15% on select PC’s and electronics on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.

Dollar General –  Active duty service members, veterans and their family get an 11% discount on qualifying purchases on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.

Enterprise Car Sales — Active U.S. military members, veterans and their dependents get a Firestone Prepaid Maintenance Package with the purchase of any Enterprise vehicle during the month of November.

 

Great Clips – On November 11, customers who come in for a service can get a free haircut card to give to their favorite veteran. Veterans can also receive a free haircut or get the free haircut card. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31. 

Home Depot  – Home Depot offers a 10% discount to all veterans on November 11. Home Depot offers the 10% discount year round to for active duty and retirees.

JCPenney – Current and former military personnel and their family members receive an extra 5% off in stores November 4-11, 2015.

 

Lowe’s – All veterans receive a 10% discount on November 11. The offer is available in stores only.

 

Meineke – On November 11, all veterans will receive a free Basic Oil Change at participating locations.

 

Sleep Number – From October 19 through November 15, active and veteran military members will receive exclusive discounts on Sleep Number products. Save up to $700 on select Sleep Number mattress sets.

 

Sport Clips – Participating locations are offering veterans and active duty service members free haircuts on November 11.

 

Tires Plus – Between November 8 and 15, veterans and active duty personnel receive an additional 10% OFF the lowest advertised price of any automotive service.

World Market – Active duty, retirees, veterans, Reserves, Guard, DoD and spouses get 20% off entire purchase November 7-11
