Rejoice with me for I have found my keys, which were lost!

Often we don’t need a special occasion to kick up the heels, but is finding lost keys enough to celebrate?  Consider the vehicle keys found on a rock.

(Dan Peters/KSOO)

It’s the end of the day and the search of every pocket is fruitless.  The mental rewind traces the steps taken earlier.  A few of them were near a body of water surrounded by native plants and quartzite stone.  Needle in a haystack time and there would be about an hour of daylight to search.  Can you imagine breaking out the flashlight in a futile attempt to locate shiny metal attached to black plastic?  Rummaging through tightly cramped desk drawers or paper covered counter tops is one thing, but outdoors in the elements even a wild critter could take a liking to stashing a funky looking object.

The first line of this passage is a paraphrase of Holy Scripture because it is through the grace of God that within 15 minutes of looking, my keys were retrieved.  Friend that's a lot better than scouring the city of Sioux Falls.  With the keys stowed securely, the time had arrived for a happy dance. No doubt you've had the experience of a successful search.

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.
