Fat-shaming To Lose Weight – There’s An App For That
It’s bad enough when you’re trying to lose weight and you just can’t seem to budge the number on the scale. Now, there’s an app that will sling insults at you in order to help you lose those few extra pounds. What? How is that supposed to help?
A new Japanese app will help women lose weight with insults. Yes, insults! The app, which will be released this month, is based on a weight loss app for men called Nenshou. In the men’s version, pretty anime ladies support users as they try to lose weight, offering words of encouragement and compliments. In the app for women, fake virtual boyfriends continuously shame you into losing weight (and every ounce of self-esteem). Women get shouted at with phrases like “Hey fatty, do more exercise” and “Fat girl, do some more exercise, okay?”
The app isn’t all that bad. It does provide different workouts for women to follow.
Oh, just in case you want to download this app, you won’t forget the name. It’s called “Hey Fattie.”
