DESCRIPTION:The 12th Annual “Gourmet Guys: Great Food for a Great Cause” celebration at Active Generations\, Sunday April 21st\, will raise money to support activities and programs for older adults who need help and for those who strive to stay healthy\, productive and active.    “It is important that people understand the Active Generations mission\,” says Shelley Hanisch\, Director of Development. “We are raising funds to support our fitness and education programs as well as our special services designed to help older adults stay in their homes\, in particular\, Day Break Adult Day Services\, Meals on Wheels and Workers on Wheels.”    What is “Gourmet Guys?”    Dozens of prominent men from the Sioux Falls area\, including sports figures\, media personalities\, doctors and business owners\, will dish up their personal culinary wonders at “Gourmet Guys” this year. Some of the creative menu selections are: “The Feeling’s Mutual Cabbage Crunch”\, “B- 52 Jell-O Bombs”\, “Faini Rubylicious Italian Pesto on a Pita”\, “Charlie Brown Pie”\, “Sheriff’s Shrimp and Grits”\, “CPR ( Cheesy Pheasant Roasted Jalapenos) ”\, “Orange Crepes”\, and “Bourbon Baked Beans”. A youth Gourmet Guy\, Will Howes\, from the Sioux Falls Tennis Association High School will also be featured. DESCRIPTION:People attending the 16th annual Argus Leader RibFest should plan on bringing their singing voices to South Dakota’s Biggest Backyard Barbeque this year\, because the entertainment lineup could become South Dakota’s Biggest Sing-Along Party of the year!  This year’s concert schedule on the Mike’s Hard Lemonade stage features a diverse roster of popular bands\, beginning Thursday\, May 30 with A1A\, the official and original Jimmy Buffet tribute band (and the only band sanctioned by Jimmy Buffet himself) at 7:30 p.m. A1A brings to life a highly energetic\, colorful\, family friendly concert experience that brings in the fresh ocean breezes of tropical flavor that is akin to being at Jimmy’s show. Prior to A1A\, local ZZ Top tribute band ZZ3 will get this year’s RibFest off to a rockin’ start at 5 p.m.  Friday night’s headliner\, country musician Neal McCoy\, brings a pocket full of hit songs for local country fans to enjoy singing along to\, including No. 1 singles “No Doubt About It” and “Wink.” Opening for McCoy will be long time fan favorites Dustin Evans\, Allen Goodroad and Andy Gibson. DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Annual Khor Wakow Benefit Dinner will be held on Saturday\, April 20th\, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the First Evangelical Free Church (69th &amp; Western) in Sioux Falls.
