Make-A-Wish Benefit At Great Bear
It’s a car show fundraiser for Make-A-Wish South Dakota at Great Bear Recreation Park.
The Second Annual Angels with a Dream Car Show will again benefit Make-A-Wish® South Dakota. The event will take place Sunday, June 23, at Great Bear Recreation Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The inspiration behind the event is to honor Bill Johnson, who battled cancer for ten years and passed away in 2009. Bill loved children very much, so his wife and friends want to honor him by helping a Make-A-Wish child who is facing their own battle with illness. With the support of the people from Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas, and sponsors like the Johnson Brothers, City of Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation, Visual Solutions, and Great Bear Recreation Park, the goal is to raise enough money to grant a child’s wish.
If you own a Hot Rod, Street Car, Race Car or Motorcycle, register for this event to guarantee a spot, spaces are limited. There is no fee to enter the car show, but freewill donations will be accepted. An award will be given for best in show by a public vote. Besides a car show, there will be wine tasting, a silent auction, raffles, inflatables and food.
