RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — Delta Air Lines is adding nonstop once-a-week flights between Rapid City and Atlanta, beginning next June.

Airport official say it will be the seventh major hub to which fliers out of the western South Dakota city can connect. The other six are Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, Chicago and Minneapolis.

The Rapid City Journal reports that the Saturday flights between Rapid City and Atlanta will be on 65-passenger jets. Airport Board of Directors President Lisa Modrick says if the Saturday flights are successful, additional flights might be added through the week.
