Construction Work Begins on West Second Street and West Ninth Street along Kiwanis Avenue in Sioux Falls
Starting on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 8:30 a.m., the City of Sioux Falls Public Works Department will be flagging traffic through the construction zone between West Second Street and West Ninth Street along Kiwanis Avenue.
Traffic will be maintained within the current northbound lane while construction crews work within the current southbound lane on sanitary sewer repairs and asphalt patching. Flagging operations will occur between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. This work will be performed intermittently throughout the week and ending on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Also beginning on Monday, June 24, 2013, the mill and overlay project will start on Marion Road from Maple Street to 60th Street North.
Access from Marion Road will be maintained at all times, but residents may need to access their homes from either 60th Street North or Maple Street which while involve traveling through residential neighborhoods. The project is expected to complete by July 29, 2013, with favorable weather conditions.
Motorists are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling in this area.
