When we think of fall, several things come immediately to mind -- cooling temperatures, turning leaves, costumes, candy and turkey dinner. As we showed in our lost Disney songs list, no Disney film is set in stone from start to finish. Plots get written, songs get dropped and characters get redesigned. Looking at early Disney concept art is like finally reading that novel that your favorite movie was based on only to discover it's totally different. Still, there's a simple charm in seeing these characters immediately after being birthed, before they were fine tuned, polished and marketed through endless merchandise.
The New York Comic Con took place at the Big Apple's Javits Center this past weekend, and we went to check out the fun. Here are some pictures of our favorite attendees. Space shuttle Endeavour, sitting on top of NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft or SCA, traveled to Los Angeles on September 21, 2012. The Space Shuttle Endeavour will be placed on public display at the California Science Center. This is the final ferry flight scheduled in the Space Shuttle Program era.
There's one thing we know for sure about little kids-- they can make practically anything seem adorable. Scrunched-up, twisted sour faces? Check. A boppin' on a bed rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'? You betcha! Although we're a little dumbfounded as to how this "everything is ridiculously adorable" thing actually happens, we can't help but be sucked into the cuteness every darn time. This is especially true when it comes to Halloween.
