Some studies claim most Americans have regifted, at one time or another.

'Fess up now. Have you ever regifted anything?

I saw a story that says many Americans have--in fact, there are those who would tell you most of us have, at one time or another.

I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but I don't remember ever doing a regift--you know, taking something someone gave to you, wrapping it up and giving it to someone else.

I know, it sounds like a "Seinfeld" episode, and it probably was. Or it could be a politician trying to weasel out of some sticky situation by saying "I do not recall ever regifting."

It seems to me that there might be a graceful way to pass something along--not some hideous "White Elephant" sort of thing, but a quality item you just have no use for, or something you already have.

But if you're thinking about recycling a past gift this Christmas, leave me out of it, unless it's a new red Ferrari, just like the one you already have (Just go with it here).

Then, I'll be happy to take it off your hands, and I promise not to make you feel guilty.
