DenYelle Kenyon, a social researcher at Sanford Health, will discuss the upcoming Indian Health Summit in Sioux Falls, during A Better You, Saturday March 18, at 11 am.

Sanford is a focal point for collaboration on Indian Healthcare issues in our region. They have a contract with the National Institute of Health. The collaboration currently includes  efforts on the Rosebud, Oglala, and Sisseton Wahpeton  reservations in South Dakota, one in Minnesota, and North Dakota.

Each of the involved tribes is doing research on specific issues of importance to the individual tribal governments

The upcoming conference is bringing together people from those tribes and others, interested healthcare workers, and regular citizens interested in the issues.

It is April 5th and 6th at the Sanford Research Institute in Northern Sioux Falls. DenYelle will offer specifics of topics and explain how to sign up for this free event.
